Sacrifice in Japanese is 犠牲 which is read gisei.

This beautiful work of art is a visual reminder of the sacrifices required of us and the importance of making sacrifices in our lives. This is also the perfect gift to acknowledge someone that has made sacrifices on your behalf such as for your parents or a friend.

The Japanese word gisei meaning "Sacrifice" closely matches the English word. It is used most commonly in the sense of making sacrifices for others such as for one's children or family.
