Zaida when pronounced ZIE-dah is written in Japanese as:    This is read zaida and is a phonetic translation to katakana. Katakana is the standard way names are translated to Japanese and, just like in English, the characters have no meaning. To be absolutely correct when translating names, use katakana as shown above. If you are looking for meaning then consider the name's meaning in kanji. The name Zaida means "Prosperity". The word Prosperity in Japanese is  which is read han'ei. Be careful though because by itself people will read this as a word and not as a name. This is appropriate as sometimes names are selected purely for their meaning. If the meaning is most important to you, then consider a literal translation to kanji as shown on the left.
