Courage in Japanese is yuuki which is written in kanji as
The Japanese word Yuuki is composed of the kanji for yuu meaning "Courage" or "Bravery" and ki meaning "Mind" or "Spirit."
Notice that there are two ways to write the kanji ki. The older form is as used in the design VB2B and the newer form is as used in the design VB2A below.
